Stopped by Driftwood Estate Winery today and I have say, this place is setup really nice. As I walked in I noticed there was a restaurant on my left. I walked over there first and there are table under the huge Oak trees or to sit and eat or I could sit in the open air pavilion. I saw people sitting in both places. The tasting room is was to my right as I walked in. I went inside and the people were really friendly. It's 20 dollars and they have a long list of different wines to sample and of those a person has to pick 6. Or, I was told I could get a bottle of wine and glasses and sit in several places outside. The tasting room has table under the Oak trees as well along with a large pavilion. The place is on a hill so beside the nice breeze there's a great view if you sit outside.
I had the pleasure of working with Patricia from the Bistro Catering at Driftwood Estates Winery to help me plan my son’s rehearsal dinner. She could not have been more helpful, attentive, friendly and easy to work with! I can’t thank her enough! We hosted 75 people for a 5 station buffet dinner under the pavilion, and it was perfect. There were many guest from New York to California and many places in between and they loved the views of the Texas Hill country as well as dinner and wine of course! Thank you!!!
This is a beautiful location with good wines. They tried to get us to become club members, even though we live 4 hours away. The place is very attentive to their members and not so attentive if you're not a member. Honestly, it felt like if you're not a member, then they couldn't be bothered. It has an air of being stuck up, but don't let that keep you from enjoying the beautiful views. One of the reasons we chose to visit was the "rules" they had listed on their website. We loved that and thought it would be the place for us. Just make sure you don't attend on member pick up day. You will be ushered out quickly and it's upon you to make sure when these times happen.
LOVE the sunset dinners, the general atmosphere of both the bistro and tasting room. Staff and food AND wine are fabulous! One of our "happy places".
Such a charming place for a nice afternoon. Visited this place a few times now. The winery is on the right and the bistro is on the left of the property. This place does not allow pets. We sat at the open seating with the gorgeous views. The wines were great!
